ECAP Winterthur

Zürcherstrasse 15, 8400 Winterthur
About us

ECAP Winterthur was founded in 1970 and the first training courses took place in the metalworking and mechanical engineering sector. Training for welders was particularly in demand because the large industrial companies in Winterthur such as Sulzer, Loki, Rieter and Geilinger in particular needed these specialists. In response to the employment crisis in the 1980s and the wave of immigration from all over Europe, Asia, Africa and South America, the range of courses on offer has been continuously adapted and expanded to meet new needs. Today, the demand for further training of migrants focuses primarily on the acquisition of the German language. Computer science courses for beginners are also popular. We are proud to continue to make a significant contribution to the integration work of the City of Winterthur with our range of courses. ECAP Winterthur has many years of experience and competence in educational work and has over 70 qualified and well-trained employees. We promote the social and professional integration of migrants through targeted educational opportunities. An up-to-date overview of our training offer can be found in our course programme . Our main activities are: • German courses • Literacy courses in German • Labour market courses on behalf of AWA • Basic courses on behalf of the Fachstelle Integrationsförderung (Integration Promotion Office) of the Canton Zürich • German courses with with childcare on behalf of the city of Winterthur • Integration projects on behalf of Fachstelle Integrationsförderung (Integration Promotion Office) Winterthur • German courses for cleaning personnel • German courses for construction workers • German courses for Unia members • Professional German courses for companies ECAP Winterthur is an accredited examination center for telc certifications and fide test. What is Transcendental Meditation (TM)?

Espace MT / David Lynch Foundation Office in Geneva-Carouge is led by Leonard Stein, a certified Transcendental Meditation instructor since 1980. Espace MT offers Transcendental Meditation courses in small groups, private sessions (VIP format), or in companies. In just a few sessions, Leonard teaches you the technique, which you will then practice independently—ideally once in the morning and once in the evening. Ongoing support and coaching are provided to ensure the best long-term results. Transcendental Meditation , rooted in the wisdom of ancient India, is a simple, natural, and effortless mental technique suitable for everyone. It is practiced sitting comfortably with eyes closed, and does not involve concentration, observation, or control of the mind. The busy mind settles spontaneously, the body relaxes deeply, and a state of profound rest is achieved. This allows stress and fatigue to be released, we recharge our "batteries" and emerge from meditation with a clear and creative mind—calm yet dynamic, full of good spirits, positive energy, and creativity for productive activity and high-quality human relationships. Hundreds of independent scientific studies have highlighted the benefits of TM for physical, mental, and emotional health. The David Lynch Foundation , founded in 2005 by the renowned filmmaker, brings the benefits of TM to disadvantaged individuals and those suffering from traumatic stress. With its support, around one million people in need have learned the technique and found a way forward. Leonard represents the foundation in Geneva. Its motto is: “Change begins within.” To learn more, simply contact Leonard Stein for a free information/preparatory session, either in person at Espace MT, online, or by phone—there is no obligation! Courses start regularly, according to demand. 📧 leonard.stein@tm.org | 📞 079 626 48 43
