We create furniture with character that stands out from the crowd and promotes creativity. Each person is uniquely made, a work of art. So our goal is to create each customer a perfect match, a furniture that fits life. We exclusively manufacture custom work based on a prior customer consultation. Sustainability, environmental protection and social responsibility are fundamental values for us. Our 10-year warranty is a testimony to the fact that we build furniture for generations. At Leikwood we create, not produce. Unique as you are, so it fits you. We started our entrepreneurial adventure in 2019 with a dining table collection. We work with epoxy resin, with large tree table tops, with reclaimed wood, as well as with various techniques such as kilning, brushing, washing or sewing wood. In the meantime we are constantly expanding our offer and now we also offer chairs to go with our tables. We manufacture sideboards, cabinets, bookcases, coffee tables and beds from solid wood. We specifically use steel, stone and glass as complementary materials for our furniture pieces. Our joinery specializes in custom-made interior design solutions. We offer advice, design and interior design concepts. We take care of the entire construction and project management for private customers and the coordination of the various trades. We are passionate about creating unique living spaces and, as with our furniture, we do not offer standard solutions but individual concepts in terms of shape and choice of materials. A living space that suits you perfectly. Although our clientele comes from all over Switzerland, we are completely at home in Erlenbach. Our workshop is located at Lerchenbergstrasse 123 and our showroom at Seestrasse 77. Newly we have also decorated a shop window in the underpass to the Schifflände in Erlenbach from January 2022. A good day starts with a good night. In 1920, Elisabeth Boss was at the heart of the action, alongside her husband, Louis Moinat, to start an upholsterer's workshop in Rolle. It went on to become a household name in decoration and furniture, with a reputation beyond Switzerland's borders. The first activity consisted of making wedding trousseaux and horsehair mattresses by hand for the Swiss army and for the prestigious "Le Rosey" institute in Rolle, which has seen the world's elite pass through its doors since its creation in 1880. Over the years, the company's main activity has shifted towards interior decoration and antiques. The production of hand-sewn mattresses has become marginal, but the know-how has remained alive and well in every generation. The passion for working with textiles, horsehair and high-quality materials has endured, and continues today in the workshop opposite Rolle's SBB station. Today, it's the 4th generation who want to rediscover this know-how with the local production of exclusive mattresses, handcrafted from the finest materials nature has to offer, and bearing the name of their great-grandmother: Elisabeth Boss.
