SERVICES
Equipment
Our site in Basel, as well as our site in Ghent, Belgium, are equipped with state-of-the-art handling machines ranging in size from 22 to 400 tons. We also have high-performance scrap processing units.
Product
Iron and metal recycling is becoming increasingly important. Recycling helps us conserve natural resources. Metals are important raw materials for industry. By remelting them, they can be returned to the economic cycle again and again. Compared to ore extraction, melting scrap saves energy and resources. Metal recycling is therefore not only more sustainable than the extraction and mining of new raw materials and mineral resources, but also more sustainable for the environment.
Over the years, iron and metal recycling has become increasingly important, which is why the processes for recovering metals from complex composite objects have been continuously developed. As a result, we are now able to respond to our customers' needs and supply the various metals in the required qualities.
Whether it's sheared scrap, cupola scrap, sheet metal waste, heavy scrap (E3), etc.
Logistics
Thanks to our specialization in logistics, we are able to put together complete sea freight shipments within a very short time.
This is mainly made possible by a network of suppliers with whom we have long-standing partnerships. Our suppliers are mainly based in Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, and France. We use all means of transport, including cargo ships, rail, and trucks.
Environment
For most logistics kilometers, we rely on environmentally friendly and efficient bulk transport via inland waterway vessels. These travel via the Rhine to seaports all over the world. Our location in Ghent gives us a major advantage in this respect. The port in Ghent has a very deep draft, which enables us to handle seagoing vessels with a loading capacity of up to 50,000 tons. In addition, we have a direct connection to rail tracks at the seaport in Ghent, as well as at the Rhine port in Basel. Their length allows us to load and unload block trains, which in turn makes us more efficient in this process.
Demolition / dismantling
In addition to processing and transporting iron and metal types, we also carry out dismantling work, from which we recover metal for recycling.
MARKETS
Our customers are mainly foundries and steel and metal smelting plants based in Europe and the Far East.
We are known among our customers for our high quality standards and reliability.
Over the years, we have continuously improved the process of recovering metals from complex composite objects. This enables us to respond to our customers' needs and deliver the various metals in the desired quality.
