Periodontology (gum disease)
Do you have bleeding gums? Gum inflammation is usually a painless inflammation of the periodontium caused by bacterial plaque. Thanks to regular check-ups at the dentist, this often superficial inflammation (gingivitis) can be cured with simple measures (intensive oral hygiene and professional teeth cleaning).
If gingivitis remains undetected and untreated for a long time, the inflammation reaches the deeper parts of the periodontium. The teeth become loose and may begin to shift, resulting in periodontitis.
Medical problems such as diabetes and increased nicotine consumption are additional risk factors for the development of periodontitis. Advanced periodontal disease can also have negative effects on general health.

Filling therapy
Tooth-colored composite materials are used today to replace missing tooth substance. The material is applied to the lesion in a soft state using small instruments and then hardened with blue light. Due to the moisture sensitivity of the materials used, additional measures are necessary to dry the tooth being treated (rubber dam).
Dental hygiene, prophylaxis & aftercare.
The dental hygienist cleans and cares for your teeth. At the same time, you will be instructed in the correct use of the oral hygiene aids that are suitable for you.
A healthy foundation is the basis of all dental treatments. Thanks to precise recording of your oral hygiene at the beginning of each session, the dental hygienist will provide you with detailed information on areas at risk. Precise instructions enable you to pay special attention to these areas. In this way, the health achieved can be maintained through individually tailored aftercare intervals and instructions.
Implantology
Implants (artificial tooth roots) enable us to replace missing teeth without having to grind down healthy neighboring teeth. They represent a significant expansion of our treatment options. Whether a dental prosthesis using an implant is possible depends on the following factors:
- General medical conditions
- Healthy oral conditions and perfect oral hygiene
- Sufficient bone availability
- Nicotine consumption
- Reliable aftercare, because the tissue around implants is just as susceptible to inflammation as natural teeth.
Peri-implantitis therapy
If oral hygiene is inadequate, the tissue surrounding implants can become inflamed just as quickly as the teeth. Superficial inflammation of the mucous membrane surrounding the implants (peri-implant mucositis) can usually be treated with simple measures if diagnosed quickly.
If the painless inflammation spreads deeper and attacks the bone, this is referred to as peri-implantitis. Without appropriate treatment, the preservation of the implant is at risk.
Root canal treatment, endodontology
Endodontology deals with the inner workings (pulp) of the tooth. The pulp (nerve) consists of blood vessels, connective tissue, and nerve tissue and contains all the defense mechanisms. If bacteria have severely damaged the crown of the tooth (deep hole) and reach the pulp, this usually causes very painful inflammation. After local anesthesia has been administered, the pain can be eliminated by removing the pulp using fine special instruments and disinfecting the root canals. The treatment often requires several sessions and the use of a microscope.
After root canal treatment, the destroyed tooth crown is rebuilt using suitable materials.
Crowns & Bridges
Additional procedures are required to rebuild a severely damaged tooth. The carefully prepared tooth is precisely molded and a customized dental crown is manufactured for you. After a trial fitting, this crown is permanently cemented in place by the dentist and you are informed about the necessary care.
If a missing tooth cannot be replaced with an implant, the adjacent teeth serve as "bridge abutments." After preparing and molding the teeth, the technician creates the new denture (bridge), which is cemented in place.
Removable dentures (partial dentures, hybrid dentures, full dentures)
If only a few healthy teeth remain, removable dentures in the form of partial dentures may need to be made in certain situations. These are attached to the remaining healthy teeth with precisely fitting metal clasps. Depending on the bone structure, removable dentures can also be attached to implants with the aid of snap fasteners. The fact that these teeth have to be removed for cleaning unnecessarily alarms many people, as this actually makes cleaning much easier. You will receive detailed instructions on how to handle and care for these "third teeth." Unsightly, very large tissue defects can be well masked with removable dentures, leading to a very attractive aesthetic result.
Cosmetic dentistry
A harmonious, naturally beautiful appearance is the goal of cosmetic dentistry. Exploring your aesthetic sensibilities is an essential part of cosmetic dentistry. Depending on the initial situation, the path to achieving natural harmony can be complex. Good oral hygiene, healthy tissue conditions, and careful planning and discussion of different treatment options are essential prerequisites for achieving the set goal.
In cases of severe malocclusion, an orthodontist may be involved in the planning and treatment.
Teeth whitening
Over the years, teeth become slightly darker and the desire to whiten them arises. This desire cannot always be easily fulfilled. A preliminary examination is recommended, as existing fillings and crowns do not change color in the same way as natural teeth. For an aesthetically pleasing result, existing restorations may need to be replaced. This can be complex and costly. It is therefore advisable to discuss the procedure and suitable products at the outset.
Veneers and ceramic fillings
Veneers are a treatment option in cosmetic dentistry. They are individually manufactured porcelain shells that are bonded to slightly prepared front teeth.
Ceramic fillings are used in the posterior teeth to rebuild severely damaged teeth. They are more resistant than conventional plastic fillings and are particularly indicated where more than half of the natural tooth structure has been lost due to caries or cusp fractures.

Masticatory dysfunction
Do you bite your teeth when you need to concentrate hard or when you are under excessive psychological stress? This often happens unconsciously, especially at night. It exerts considerable damaging force on the teeth, periodontium, and masticatory muscles. The resulting tension in the masticatory muscles can even cause headaches in some cases. Various types of plastic splints worn at night alleviate the symptoms and protect the teeth from extreme wear.
Mouth guards
