Atelier Irmak was founded in 1985 as a specialist carpet restoration shop in Bern's old town. Thanks to our extensive experience and high-quality work, we quickly made a name for ourselves both nationally and internationally. In 1991, we opened a gallery with a small, carefully selected collection. Thanks to our uncompromising quality standards, we were able to gain the trust of renowned customers, were commissioned to restore museum pieces and build collections, and were entrusted with appraisals by private collectors and auction houses. With the takeover of the renowned Wirz carpet store at the beginning of 2000, we were able to fulfill a dream and move our gallery to one of the most beautiful locations in the old town.
