Ebénisterie Youri Gonard

Youri Gonard saws, sands, cuts, slices, carves, and notches wood to present us with original creations.
 
This independent cabinetmaker, based in Blonay (VD), collects old wood, lonely planks, table legs, and old furniture frames that have been left behind. Guided by the inspiration he draws from these elements or the project itself, he then transforms them to create unique new pieces of furniture.

He also enjoys creating and working with solid wood and mainly uses natural finishes.
The idea is to use a creative approach to raise awareness and encourage people to take an interest in unusual, locally produced furniture, and to think twice before rushing to the dump with their inherited furniture!
 
The artist thus offers us a new way of thinking about furniture.
This lover of materials and living things invites us to appreciate and rediscover that wood is a source of inspiration, a noble material, a witness to the past and the beauty of the world.
 
Outside of his profession, Youri happily switches from wood carving to painting. The result is abstract, balanced work inspired by his influence as a builder.

creation of custom-made furniture such as solid wood tables and benches, wardrobes, kitchens, TV cabinets, sideboards, bookcases, attic conversions, custom-made creations, etc.
Renovation work, restoration of antique furniture, installation of parquet flooring, etc.
