The children's workshop will be relocated to a new, modern location for the next school year, while retaining the proven concept and staff-to-child ratio!

Our new address is Ringstrasse 20 in the 11erei, a modern combination of living and working spaces.

The children's workshop has been offering all children a place to play, learn, and live since 1993 and has been recognized as a Montessori house by the Montessori Association Switzerland (AMS) since 2010. In addition to the Montessori educational approach, our teaching and learning philosophy is based on the latest achievements in educational science.

Nursery forinfants from 3 months to 3 years

The Kinderwerkstatt nursery is a small, family-run nursery for infants from 2 months of age. It is located at Bahnhofstrasse 28, in the heart of Dübendorf, just a few minutes' walk from the train station. The philosophy of this high-quality nursery is based on the principles of Maria Montessori and Dr. Emmi Pikler. The daycare center is characterized by its individual and loving care of the children as well as its highly experienced and long-standing team. Outdoor activities such as forest days and walks are also integrated into the daily routine of the nursery.

Daycare for children aged 3 to 6

The Kinderwerkstatt Montessori Kindergarten is a bilingual daycare center for children aged 3 to 6. It is located at Oberdorfstrasse 62 in Dübendorf and is a 10-minute walk from the train station.The kindergarten is a bilingual full-day kindergarten where children are cared for in a prepared environment tailored to their individual needs. The children are taught in English and German. The kindergarten offers an environment in which every child can freely develop and explore their social, emotional, practical, intellectual, musical, and craft-related talents and interests.

Day school for students aged 6 to 12

The Montessori School at Kinderwerkstatt is a bilingual day school for children aged 6 to 12. It is located at Oberdorfstrasse 62 in Dübendorf and is a 10-minute walk from the train station. The state-approved private school is recognized by the Montessori Association Switzerland (AMS) and is the only Montessori school in Dübendorf. The pupils are taught and supervised bilingually in mixed-age groups by trained teachers. The Kinderwerkstatt primary school offers an alternative to an overly performance-oriented school system that treats all children the same. Kinderwerkstatt has set itself the task of seeing each child as an individual and allowing them to learn at their own pace. In addition to the Montessori educational approach, our teaching and learning philosophy is based on the latest educational achievements and more than covers the curriculum of the canton of Zurich.
