Walter Pfäffli AG offers a wide range of services in the field of electrical installations. Selling and installing switches, sockets, and lights (including LED) are part of our everyday work. We also offer services related to electric heating, such as towel radiators, infrared heaters, and temperature control mats.

We can also offer you a wide range of services in the field of low-voltage current. We can advise you on, sell and install telephone and TV installations as well as IT installations and doorbell systems. We also take care of your security with alarm systems.

We are happy to fulfill your multimedia wishes. We can also offer networks, including fiber optic cables.

Of course, you can also purchase all electrical appliances from us. We offer a wide range of products, from household appliances to TV sets.

Measurements, consultations, and installations in the field of electrobiology round off our range of services.

Electrical installations

We plan and/or install all electrical installations in new buildings, renovations, or service orders:

• Lighting installations, either conventional with individual switches or contactless using motion detectors.
• Lighting controls with bus systems (EIB, KNX, Tebis, DALI) for indoor and outdoor lighting.
• Shock lighting (also with LEDs) to deter burglars.
• Blind controls with or without remote control, wind monitors, and sun sensors.
• Apartment meter switches (WZU) for washing machines in apartment buildings.
• Ventilation and air conditioning systems.
• Automatic gate controls for garages and entrance doors.
• Extensions and replacement of switches and sockets.

Lighting – LED

• Pfäffli AG is committed to energy efficiency. We are therefore increasingly using LEDs (light-emitting diodes) in the form of entire light fixtures or light bulbs.
• A large part of the lighting can now be converted to LEDs, easily achieving a reduction in electricity consumption of at least 50%. Maintenance costs can also be reduced, as LED lights last around 15–20 times longer. A halogen light lasts 2,500 hours, compared to 35,000–50,000 hours for LEDs.
• The initially cold, rather bluish light of LEDs (4000–6000 Kelvin) is still available, but the range of light colors has increased massively. The color temperature of diodes has now reached the level of halogen lights (2700–3200). This means that there is nothing standing in the way of this technology being used for lighting in living spaces.
• Of course, all other lights and light sources can also be ordered from us, whether for outdoor lighting, living room lighting, or office lighting.
• Various LED lights are on display in our shop window in Zurich. We would be happy to advise you and provide you with sample lights.
• The LED cost calculator shows you a direct comparison between LED bulbs and halogen bulbs. This allows you to check the efficiency of your lighting. Have fun trying it out!

Heating

• We offer a range of heating systems.
• Underfloor heating or temperature control mats significantly increase comfort in residential properties without consuming a lot of energy. Using a timer, the floor is only heated when you really need it. This means that no energy is wasted unnecessarily.
• Gutter heating systems ensure the smooth operation of your property. Temperature and humidity control ensures that the gutter functions efficiently.
• We are also happy to connect your heat pump, gas, or oil heating system.
• The new infrared heaters are visually appealing, available in a wide variety of designs, and very effective. These heaters can be installed anywhere, either as a design element or almost invisibly. Surfaces made of glass, plastic, or stone are available.
• We offer a range of sizes and outputs. We would be happy to advise you.

Door intercom and video systems

• Our range includes classic intercom systems as well as video intercoms. We offer a wide variety of surface-mounted and flush-mounted models, and integration into a mailbox combination is also possible.
• Modern, specially equipped cordless phones connect telephony and door intercoms. You can see who is at the door on the display of the cordless phone and open it at the touch of a button.
• This means that there is nothing standing in the way of networking door intercoms and video systems.

Alarm systems

• Pfäffli AG offers you various levels of security. Various alarm system options are available.
• Whether you want to retrofit an alarm system using wireless motion detectors, wireless glass break detectors, and wireless window contacts, or install a fixed wiring system, there are many ways to easily secure your home.
• Alarm systems for higher requirements, including emergency buttons, safe locks, and so-called "silent alarms" for informing the police, can be discussed, advised on, and purchased from us.
• Contactless using a chip tag, modern via a fingerprint scanner (biometrics), or classic via a code keypad.

Multimedia

We are happy to create and sell you a wide variety of multimedia installations featuring the latest technologies, e.g. for:

• Audio systems (system installations, Revox systems, home cinema, music systems, multi-room systems)
• Video systems (system installations, home cinema, projectors, TV sets, Swisscom TV, game consoles, satellite systems)
• Computers (internet, network)

We pay close attention to ensuring that our installations are of the highest quality and meet your requirements. Terms such as LED TV, HDMI, FULL HD, Blu-ray, and Gbit LAN are second nature to us.

Telephone

As a Swisscom partner, Pfäffli AG sets up complete telephone connections, from registering the line to programming the telephone. We offer a wide range of desk phones and cordless phones, including those with low-radiation Eco-plus mode.

Upgrades from analog (economy line) to ISDN or downgrades from ISDN to analog are carried out on a regular basis.

We can design and install professional private branch exchanges (PBX) for up to 400 users. We are happy to offer you customized solutions with show call on your computer and connections to Voice over IP (VoIP).

TV

Pfäffli AG installs satellite systems and conventional cable systems. Multi-family homes and single-family homes can be equipped in the same way, so nothing stands in the way of optimal TV enjoyment. Measurements, including the creation of schematics, guarantee you outstanding quality.

Internet

We connect you to the internet, either via the telephone or TV network. You can register for an internet connection directly with us. If you are connected to the Swisscom or Cablecom network, we can apply for registration directly, using the fastest method.

We can also supply you with end devices such as routers or switches. We offer a wide range of devices.

We always stay up to date. We are very excited about cloud computing. Finally, it will be possible to use programs directly without having to install them yourself. Open your internet browser, use the program. The future can be that simple!

Fiber optics for networks

The installation of fiber optic cables, also known as optical waveguides, is an area that is increasingly in demand. Faster Internet connections are placing greater demands on existing copper cables.

As the name suggests, optical fibers work with light. This is why we talk about the speed of light. It goes without saying that light is faster than electrical signals traveling through a copper cable.

At the same time, optical waveguides or fiber optic cables are insensitive to electric and magnetic fields. The only thing to consider is proper installation, which is a matter of course for us.

Using fine fibers, a network with gigabit speed can be easily implemented. Since providers also install the supply lines into the home, so-called FTTH (Fiber To The Home) installations can now also be created.

Networks

From simple, small networks with basic hardware to large IT racks, we offer everything you need.

Simple point-to-point connections, smaller client-server networks, or open-plan offices with countless workstations can be expanded with existing installations or created as completely new projects.

Ideally, the entire network infrastructure should be set up using a multimedia distributor or a rack when a new building is constructed. This means that the network connections are already in place in every room.

Since a wide variety of applications can already be implemented via the network cable, a lot of attention should be paid to these installations. Devices and functions such as TV, telephone, and internet can be operated via a network connection box.
