Turmgut - Weine

ORGANIC CULTIVATION

Since the 1999 vintage, all vines on our estate have been cultivated in accordance with the guidelines of Bio Suisse's bud production. The aim is to produce high-quality wines without chemical residues, continuing our commitment to quality.

WINERY

The vineyards we cultivate are located on sun-drenched steep slopes on the lower basin of Lake Zurich. We harvest our grapes from six different vineyards in Meilen, Herrliberg, Küsnacht, and Turmgut Erlenbach. They are then pressed in our cellar in Meilen, where they are lovingly cared for and matured until bottling.

PHILOSOPHY

Our wines are produced organically with the utmost craftsmanship and respect for nature. In order to preserve the complexity and uniqueness of our wines, we consistently refrain from using industrial production methods in cultivation and winemaking. The wines are also vegan and matured without chemical treatments or synthetic additives. We are therefore convinced that this natural approach allows our wines to develop their individual character, guaranteeing you maximum enjoyment and the highest level of compatibility.

APPRECIATION OF THE VINEYARD

The excellent location of the Turmgut vineyard was praised in 1692 in Hans Erhard Escher's "Description of Lake Zurich" as follows: "There is a beautiful vineyard of about 10 or 11 Jucharten (old unit of area) where the best red wine around Lake Zurich grows."
