Technical description
Dirty molds, facades, or machines are often difficult to clean. The problem: After sandblasting, blasting media such as sand or glass granulate remain. This is often followed by cleaning after cleaning. With ice blasting, this effort is no longer necessary, saving additional costs. The dry ice pellets dissolve completely after blasting, leaving nothing but CLEAN, DRY SURFACES WITHOUT MOISTURE!

Dry ice production process
In the production process, liquid carbon dioxide flows into the press cylinder of the pelletizer. The pressure drop causes the liquid carbon dioxide to solidify into dry ice snow. A hydraulic cylinder compresses this dry ice snow, which is then pressed through an extruder plate. This produces sticks of dry ice, which are then broken into pellets.

Blasting process
The Ice Blaster accelerates the dry ice pellets, which are up to 3 mm in size, to over 150 m/s using compressed air. The high speed and a temperature of -79°C cause the dirt to freeze and crack. The pellets penetrate the cracks, explode, and blast away the contamination. Dry ice blasting is therefore an effective method of removing almost any type of dirt without damaging the material.
