As doulas, we accompany expectant mothers and fathers during what is probably the most formative time of their lives, from pregnancy through birth to becoming a family. We are there to offer empathy and encouragement, creating and maintaining a safe space of trust in which the mother can surrender to the powerful experience and—quite naturally—rise above herself. We can all "bring doula quality into the world"! That's why malea lin is also open to men. Together, we create a culture of birth and family that is characterized by respect, love, and mindfulness. One that nourishes us, brings us joy, keeps us holistically healthy, and touches our hearts.
