famSpektrum GmbH

famSpektrum offers social-educational family support, child protection assessments, visit supervision, individual support for young people, family or parenting counseling for private individuals, and supervised vacation programs. Our support is based on the well-being of the child, the needs of our clients, and the goals derived from these.
Depending on capacity, we offer counseling in the following languages: German, English, French, and Italian.

Time and place
famSpektrum's headquarters are located in Stäfa. We operate in the canton of Zurich (mainly the right bank of Lake Zurich, the Zurich Oberland, and the district of Uster), Rapperswil and the surrounding area, and in the canton of Schwyz.
We primarily carry out our work in the families' living environment. It is also possible to hold meetings or accompany visits at our headquarters.
We offer flexible service hours, working during off-peak times or on Saturdays, and on Sundays only in exceptional cases.

Clarification of the assignment
The client clarifies the capacity and framework conditions with famSpektrum. If agreed, famSpektrum prepares a quote; after cost approval by a cost bearer (e.g., social or school authorities), or in the case of private individuals, after verbal confirmation, a handover meeting takes place with the client, the family, and the famSpektrum specialist. famSpektrum then draws up an agreement—except in the case of clarifications—covering the most important key points such as objectives, duration, and intensity, as well as confidentiality regulations.
Cooperation with the commissioning agency is an important part of our work, and transparency is very important to us.

Reporting
Every six months or as agreed, the specialist prepares a detailed report on the family situation, the progress of the measures, the parenting skills of the parents, and the development of the children. On this basis, a recommendation is made regarding how to proceed.
In the case of investigations, the report is particularly differentiated and is prepared on the basis of a dual control principle and an internal investigation concept.

Interventions
These are based on the goals and needs of the families and serve to identify and solve family problems. The methods are drawn from the fields of social work, social pedagogy, and psychology. The specialist is free to choose the methods they use. Interventions based on various theoretical concepts—such as systems theory, solution orientation, resource and life world orientation, Marte Meo analysis, behavioral theory, parental presence according to Haim Omer, nonviolent communication, 4-page model, genogram work, etc.—are used in a targeted manner.
The intervention becomes tangible for the family as the specialist guides, coaches, reflects, strengthens, listens, educates, praises, criticizes, or activates.
