Founded in Lausanne in 1981, the SM Scharwath-Martini architectural firm handles renovations and new construction projects in the Lausanne area.
The architects also specialize in "Minergie" certified constructions, which guarantee an environmentally friendly building.
The company became a public limited company in 1982 and is managed by two directors: Klaus Scharwath and Jean De Martini. Since 2006, Sven Scharwath has been the sole director.
The SM Scharwath-Martini team consists of two full-time architects, three part-time draftsmen, and a part-time accountant. The architectural firm brings together the management, the drawing office, the secretariat, and the reception hall under one roof at the foot of Lausanne Cathedral.
