Shiatsu therapist, Chi Nei Tsang practitioner, Qi qong instructor
Shiatsu treatments at the Terre d'Alchimie clinic in Maracon.
Shiatsu (finger pressure) is a Japanese therapy that balances the body's energy flow and stimulates its natural self-regulating forces. Its goal is to maintain overall good health. It releases tension and promotes better circulation on a physical level and on a more subtle level, which the Japanese call Qi or vital energy. Shiatsu is effective for physical disorders and emotional stress.
The treatments, performed on the clothed body, involve pressure with the thumbs or the flat of the hand, stretching, and rotational movements.
Chi Nei Tsang treatments at the Terre d'Alchimie practice in Maracon
Chi Nei Tsang is a therapeutic abdominal massage based on ancient Taoist traditions from China.
The belly is considered our second brain because it is the seat of emotions that influence our health.
By directly treating the internal organs, Chi Nei Tsang integrates physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects.
It detoxifies the body by dissolving blockages and promoting the flow of energy throughout the body.
Do In, Qi Gong, meridian stretching, meditation.
These disciplines aim to develop and activate your vital energy or Chi. Your self-regulating abilities are naturally strengthened through various practices derived from ancient Eastern Taoist traditions.
Tao means: the path, the Way.
Tao is beyond words and knowledge; it can only truly be known through direct personal experience.
These practices serve to cultivate a healthy body, develop the soul, and educate the mind.
Do In
Do In consists of exercises, postures, kneading, stretching, self-massage, and breathing awareness to improve metabolic balance, promote self-awareness, and well-being.
(do=tao means: path and in: gesture), in other words, do means opening the channels and promoting the movement of energy along specific "pathways." In means moving and extending one's limbs to achieve this goal.
Beneficial effects of Do In:
- stimulates organ function, strengthens all functions and harmonizes them
- Prevents disease
- develops sensitivity to better understand oneself
Stretching the meridians
Stretching to promote the flow of Chi and release tension.
Images are used to guide the body through the exercises rather than consciously controlling breathing and movements.
Qi gong, energy meditations
The Qi gong offered comes from the practices of the Universal Healing Tao (UHT) System, which is a system of personal energy development on the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels.
This system was founded by Master Mantak Chia and is taught and practiced around the world.
The first step is energy meditation practices. The Inner Smile, a practice of connecting to the organs, helps to neutralize stress, welcome "negative" emotions, and thus find balance with "positive" emotions.
The Six Healing Sounds, through positions that allow direct access to the organs and different sounds, these "cleansings" restore and maintain calm and health. This practice of detoxifying the organs also improves digestion, strengthens the immune system, and promotes sleep.
The Iron Shirt, through postural alignment that strengthens the bones and activates the tendons, promotes grounding.
The Microcosmic Orbit promotes the flow of Chi in the Central Channel, thereby activating more Earth energy through the feet and more Universal energy through the crown of the head, bringing them together in the center or Tan Tien.
Finally, Qi Gong, through various energy preparation exercises, promotes fluidity, flexibility, and strengthening of the energy center by increasing Chi.
Maelia Carera,
First a contemporary dancer, Shiatsu therapist, Chi Nei Tsang practitioner, and Dô In and Qi Gong instructor, I then developed a passion for traditional Arabic and Sufi dances, which are part of the path to reclaiming the sacred feminine.
In addition to practicing at the Terre d'Alchimie clinic and with residents of a nursing home, I regularly offer workshops on Taoist body practices.
Caring for all forms of life (humans, vegetable gardens, animals, etc.) is my raison d'être.
Together with my partner, Luc, we founded Terre d'Alchimie, which brings us together in our passions, which we are delighted to share with you here.
