According to its statutes, the Pediatric Center aims to be a center of excellence in the field of pediatrics for the Mendrisiotto region. It intends to offer medical care to children from birth throughout their developmental years, focusing on prevention and both acute and chronic care for patients who consult the center's doctors.

Healthcare Services

In addition to basic pediatrics, we offer:

• Consultations on breastfeeding, nutrition, sleep disorders, school-related problems, support for psychological disorders related to child development, complete neurological examination (Psychologist Poretti Rustemi)

• Prevention of diseases and injuries, and recommendations on basic vaccinations and vaccinations for travel abroad

• Prevention and treatment of eating disorders with a multi-specialist approach as part of the MAGIA project (Dr. Cristina Massai)

• Consultation and therapy on the mental and physical development of children, comprehensive neurological consultation

• Allergy counseling: comprehensive diagnostic clarification including food challenge tests, treatment of respiratory allergies (allergic rhinitis, asthma, etc.) Dr. Marcel Bergmann

• Educators from the Mendrisiotto and Basso Ceresio Parents' Project Association, who are present at the same time as the pediatric nurses (ICMP)

• Regional hospitals and specialists in ENT-dermatology, pediatric surgery, pediatric orthopedics, rheumatology, etc.
