Your well-being is important to me. I am here for you.
I am recognized by health insurance companies and bill through supplementary insurance.
Qi is the origin of being, and without qi, life is not possible. According to Far Eastern philosophy, everything consists of some form of qi—every human being, every plant, every stone, even the air that surrounds us. This means that we are in constant connection with our environment through qi . Continue...
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) consists of various application and treatment methods.
The focus is on the individual with their symptoms, and an attempt is made to understand them in all their individual complexity.
The diagnostic methods used in TCM primarily include medical history, tongue diagnosis, and pulse diagnosis. In addition, facial diagnosis, body diagnosis, and general appearance are also taken into account.
Treatment methods include acupuncture and herbal medicine, which form the main pillars of TCM. In addition, ear acupuncture, cupping, moxa, massage, or other methods are used as needed.
The session is tailored to the individual needs of the patient. This means that either the acute condition is brought to the fore and treated, or the patient's medical history is taken into account, including all important aspects such as origin, development, special events, environment, nutrition, and exercise. Of course, TCM allows acute and long-term treatment goals to be combined during a single session.
What is unique about TCM is that the form of treatment used today is the same as it was around 5000 years ago. This means that the principles and laws have remained valid to this day and their application has remained virtually unchanged.
TCM is suitable for acute and chronic complaints and pain (e.g., headaches, back pain, etc.), diseases of the digestive organs (e.g., constipation, diarrhea, flatulence, etc.), stress-related illnesses, allergies and asthma, hay fever, and increased susceptibility to infections. The WHO's acupuncture indication catalog lists further symptoms:

Complementary treatment methods
Ear acupuncture: This works via reflex zones and is used as an independent, symptomatic method or as a complementary treatment.
Herbs: We use Chinese herbal mixtures according to the principles of Chinese differential diagnosis.
Moxa: With direct or indirect application, the warming effect of mugwort is brought into the meridian system by burning.
Cupping: Cupping glasses are used to stimulate blood circulation in the skin and deeper layers, mobilizing qi and blood.
Guasha: In this treatment technique, a horn tool is used to treat the painful area very effectively. Although still unknown in our part of the world, this method is very commonly used in Asia.
The human body is criss-crossed by large and small channels, known as meridians. These energy channels connect all organs, extremities, the torso, head, sensory organs, body openings, and functions, forming collection points known as acupuncture points.
Complementing the vascular, nervous, and lymphatic systems is a meridian system that connects everything. While Ayurvedic medicine identifies up to 65,000 energy points, Chinese medicine uses 360 classic acupuncture points and 1,000 extra points.
By stimulating these points on the meridians, a disease-causing disorder can often be restored to its healthy original state. This can be achieved, for example, by inserting needles or using painless laser acupuncture.

Effect
- The leech secretes a substance as soon as it attaches itself to a human being. This secretion contains around 100 active ingredients, most of which have not yet been scientifically investigated. The most important of these is hirudin, which has an anticoagulant effect. Other important active ingredients are calin, hyaluronidase, eglin, and bdellin. In addition to their anticoagulant effect, they also have vasodilatory, anti-inflammatory, antibiotic, lymphatic acceleration, and pain-relieving properties. At the same time, the leech sucks out 2-3 milliliters of blood and detaches itself once it is full.
The treatment
- The treatment lasts 1-2 hours, after which no strenuous activity should be undertaken. Drinking plenty of fluids supports the circulation.
After-effects
- The bite site bleeds for 4-24 hours, which requires the wound to be properly dressed.
- Post-treatment bleeding is part of the therapeutic effect; it decongests and detoxifies and should not be suppressed.
Side effects
- During treatment, you will feel pain similar to that caused by stinging nettles, but this will disappear after about 5 minutes. After leech therapy, there is usually local redness and swelling of the skin and a small bruise, which usually disappear after 14 days. Itching often occurs 1-2 days after treatment, which can be relieved by rubbing in an ointment. A small scar may remain, but it is negligible.
Rare side effects
- Allergic reaction to leech serum, prolonged bleeding, wound healing disorder, wound infection.
Contraindications
- Congenital or acquired blood clotting disorder, known allergy to the secretion, immunosuppression, severe anemia, dialysis.
Laboratory-bred leeches
- The leeches we use come from a breeding facility in Russia that is a global leader in this field. The transmission of viruses and bacteria is guaranteed to be ruled out, as they are bred in laboratories and have never bitten a human being.
