The practice also has a classroom offering wellness and fitness activities, as well as a treatment room for massages.
Our physical therapists offer specific treatments tailored to various types of rehabilitation: neurology, geriatrics, orthopedics, traumatology, rheumatology, pediatric orthopedics, and sports medicine.
Promoting health
We are committed to restoring, improving, or maintaining the physical functions of patients affected by pain, stiffness, and other dysfunctions. State-of-the-art equipment allows our team of physical therapists to best meet the needs of each patient.
Work philosophy
The practice has been designed so that most patients starting therapy practice medical fitness at some point during their treatment. The main goal is to provide care through passive therapy in the treatment room and active therapy (fitness).
Therapy work is a process of progression adapted to the patient's condition. To this end, the therapist provides continuous monitoring and correction. It is not only a question of strengthening, but also of direct or indirect stabilization with a view to improving body awareness and posture.
The aim is to make the person responsible and independent as soon as possible.
That is why we also offer our patients the option of supplementing their prescription with personalized follow-up (coaching and work program). As the body and mind are closely linked, we also offer wellness activities such as yoga, massage, and relaxation.
General physiotherapy
The different stages of physiotherapy treatment:
patient examination, establishment of a physiotherapeutic diagnosis,
treatment objectives,
planning,
intervention and monitoring of results.
First, the physical therapist listens carefully to the patient as they describe their medical history (anamnesis). Next, they examine the patient using specific tests and measurements (physical assessment). The medical history and physical assessment constitute the patient examination. Based on the results of the examination, the physical therapist makes a physical therapy diagnosis. They set treatment goals together with the patient (and possibly with family members or other caregivers), then plan the treatment.
Access Physio also offers a home service if requested by the attending physician. We also offer pediatric and sports physiotherapy, as well as preventive services such as ergonomics, back training, and abdominal exercises.
Sports physiotherapy
According to the IOC definition, sports physiotherapy is a discipline that is an integral part of sports medicine. Its growing importance in high-level sports, but also in mass sports, is mainly linked to the demands and constraints of modern and competitive sports.
Sports physiotherapy is:
the promotion of healthy physical and sporting activity among athletes of all ages;
knowledge of different sports and their biomechanical and psychological constraints;
techniques for treating sports-related injuries and damage;
preventive measures, recovery and healthy living for athletes;
functional rehabilitation, recovery, and return to training or competition;
doping prevention and control;
as well as scientific research in the fields of sports physiotherapy.
Sports physiotherapists have a special relationship with athletes. They are often called upon to provide first-line care in the field in the event of injury. They act as a "link" between the sports doctor, the coach, and the athlete. They often become the athlete's confidant, reflecting their doubts, fears, hopes, joys, and disappointments.
Lymphatic drainage
Prevention and treatment of edema, stasis, and swelling. This is a physical therapy that stimulates decongestion. This gentle, rhythmic, diuretic massage eliminates toxins and waste between the body's cells. Calming in nature, it reduces pain and strengthens the immune system.
