Steinacher & Schmid AG

Steinacher + Schmid AG was founded in Basel in 1973 by Herbert Steinacher and Urs Schmid. The company started out with two employees. In the years that followed, the company in Basel continued to grow steadily thanks to a healthy order book. In 1987, the company moved into its newly built factory premises in Therwil. At this point, the company already had around 11 employees. In 2010, Daniel Frei took over as the new owner and managing director, allowing the company's founders to enjoy their well-deserved retirement. In 2010, the first year after the takeover, the company added 12 employees and currently employs around 30 people.
