Our principles and values
We want our children to grow up to be socially competent and happy adults. We are only one part of this building block. We act conscientiously and according to our knowledge of pedagogy. In this way, we help the child find their place.
Our children
Our children should feel encouraged and secure. Our affection and interest in the child is genuine. We respect each individual in their unique personality, supporting them in their strengths but also where they have weaknesses. Children should express their opinions and needs. We see it as our job to recognize and respond to these. It is important to us that they learn to be considerate of one another.
Our parents
We see our childcare services as a complement to the family. A good relationship with parents, characterized by mutual trust, benefits the child. Together, we set goals and regularly assess progress. Our parents should be assured that their child is in good hands with us in every respect.
Our employees
We promote a working atmosphere characterized by trust and mutual appreciation. All our employees have solid training in education and/or management. We adapt our focus to the developments of our time and attend at least one continuing education course per year.
Apprenticeships and internships
We offer young people at our institute the opportunity to learn a challenging and varied apprenticeship or complete a one-year internship, during which their ideas and expectations of this demanding job are assessed.
We value a cooperative management style. Each of our team members sees themselves as part of the whole. We cooperate and take our social responsibility seriously.
Cooperation
The daycare center works together with the municipality of Volketswil, which grants us our operating license and monitors our work. It also provides subsidized places for the children. If necessary, we work together with social services, youth and family counseling, school boards, playgroups, kindergartens, schools, and other institutions in the family and school support sector.
