when a notary's office was opened in what was then the rural municipality of Vechigen. Today, the notary and law firm in the Bern metropolitan area is run by notaries and attorneys Dieter Baumann, Stefan Bigler, Thomas A. Baumann, and Kai Baumann, as well as notary Regina Grendelmeier Schütz.
