WHAT ROLFING IS & CAN DO
WHAT IS ROLFING?
Rolfing is a treatment method that restores imbalanced structures in the body (e.g., postural problems) using a special form of connective tissue massage.
The treatment focuses on the fascia.
These are tough membranes consisting of connective tissue that envelop and connect all parts of the body , such as bones, muscles, and organs.
Together, these fasciae form a kind of three-dimensional network. This gives the body cohesion, elasticity, and shape, thus determining the basic structure of our body.
This fascia network takes on an important part of the necessary tension and support when standing upright and walking, thereby relieving the muscles.
WHAT ROLFING CAN DO.
Rolfing helps people to achieve a physically, mentally, and spiritually upright posture, in the literal sense of the word!
Everyday stresses, accidents, acute or chronic stress "deform or stick" the fascia network.
The affected muscles harden and become less mobile. This results in uneven strain on different fasciae and muscles. Metabolism in the area is restricted. The body's statics are negatively affected. This leads to poor posture, tension, pain, etc.
Gravity has a decisive influence on all imbalances in the body.
Rolfing is able to improve these imbalances. It is a method that can permanently reshapethe body.
The organism needs less energy to maintain itself upright and therefore functions better on all levels (nervous system, respiration, circulation, metabolism).
WHO IS ROLFING FOR?
The method is generally aimed at people:
- who feel out of balance or chronically tense:-
headaches, back, hip, shoulder, and neck pain, migraines, etc.
- who are exposed to one-sided occupational stress: &
Poor posture, incorrect strain, tension, restricted movement, etc.
- who want to improve their mobility and body awareness: &e.g. in sports, yoga, dance, acting, singing, music, etc.
e.g. in sports, yoga, dance, acting, singing, music, etc.
Rolfing supports the holistic development of body and soul and is suitable for adults and children of all ages.
