WHAT IS THE BAC After many years of thinking about a way to bridge the gap between the arts and the public, the idea for the Braswell Arts Center was born. Since 2017, the BAC has provided a space for creativity, collaboration and innovation in all art forms. We pride ourselves on offering dance classes and other artistic experiences for all ages, levels and body types, as well as creating new initiatives for underprivileged children and development opportunities for aspiring artists. PRE PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM PRE PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM The Braswell Arts Pre-Professional Program is a year-round training and mentoring program offered by the Braswell Arts Association for dancers ages 13-21 who demonstrate exceptional potential for a dance career. The Braswell Arts Center is a proud partner school of the Basel Talents competitive sports promotion. The BAC, together with the education department of Basel-Stadt and Baselland, offers the most talented dancers the opportunity to continue their dance training at a professional level and at the same time to complete their formal academic training as part of the sports class. HOLIDAY ARTS CAMP Join us for an exciting week (or two) of multi-arts programs at the Braswell Arts Center. We offer full or half day camps for children from 6 years old. Artistic mentoring in music, art and dance with highly qualified teachers to inspire the next generation of young artists. DANCE WORKSHOPS The BAC workshops take place during the school holidays in Basel-Stadt, where we bring some of the best teachers from around the world to Basel! While our regular weekly classes are only available to our members, we believe it's important to share these amazing guest teachers and their unique teaching styles with the wider community. This means all of our workshops, pop-up classes and teaching assignments are open to the public!
