ECAP is a non-commercial and non-profit adult education institute in Switzerland. Headquartered in Zurich, there are nine regional branches throughout Switzerland. With its courses, the intercultural organisation enables the education of migrants and employees in general, including those with little formal education. With more than 50,000 participants per year, ECAP is the second largest adult education institute in Switzerland – and the number one school for German and integration courses. ECAP operates 24 training centres in Switzerland, which are managed by 9 regional centers in Aarau, Basel, Bern, Lamone, Lausanne, Lucerne, Solothurn, Winterthur and Zurich.

Who are we and what do we do? The Swiss Red Cross Canton of Zurich is an independent aid organisation in the Canton of Zurich. Together with many volunteers and numerous donors, we work in the canton of Zurich to help people in difficult life situations. In the areas of health, education, social affairs and migration, around 90 employees and over 2,600 volunteers work on behalf of the Zurich Red Cross to help their fellow human beings. We do not differentiate according to origin, religion, political convictions or social status. We provide counselling, direct aid and educational support. Der FotoKurs "St. Peter-Ording – auf die feine ART" bietet einen hervorragenden Einblick in die minimalistische Fotografie. Die weiten Sandstrände, markanten Pfahlbauten und zahlreichen Details liefern vielfältige Motive für diese Kunstform. Philipp führt die Teilnehmenden kompetent in das Thema ein und steht während des Fotografierens mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Er legt besonderen Wert auf die individuelle Weiterentwicklung der fotografischen Fähigkeiten. Im Seminarraum werden die Fotos mit Lightroom optimiert, wobei Philipp sein fundiertes Wissen einbringt. Die Besprechung der Bilder im Plenum ist äußerst bereichernd und erweitert den Blickwinkel auf verschiedene Perspektiven. Der Kurs ist perfekt organisiert: die Reise mit Nachtzug / Mietauto und die komfortable Unterkunft mit exzellenter Verpflegung. Es ist für alles gesorgt, die Teilnehmenden müssen sich um nichts kümmern. Für alle, die ihre fotografischen Fähigkeiten verbessern möchten, ist auch dieser Kurs absolut empfehlenswert.

For more than 50 years, ECAP Basel has been a reliable partner for migrants and institutions when it comes to professional and social integration. Our courses are adapted to the specific needs and realities of the participants and provide access to continuing education for people who are unfamiliar with education. We are constantly developing our courses further. New projects and courses can also be developed and carried out at short notice. Founded in the mid-1970s, ECAP Solothurn is one of the oldest regional offices of ECAP. The courses offered are primarily aimed at migrants. Gerade habe ich den Blockchain Kurs an der Benedict beendet. Unser Lehrer, Herr Altinok, war so wie man sich einen Lehrer wünscht, motiviert und gut vorbereitet. Viel Arbeitsmaterial wurde vorgelegt und auch als ich fehlte, wurde mir ein Dossier zusammengestellt. Klar war es nicht einfach nach einem langen Arbeitstag noch die Schulbank zu drücken, im Nachhinein muss ich aber sagen, es hat richtig Spass gemacht. Die Klasse war super, zudem hat es mich neu vernetzt. Mein Fazit; ich kann jedem einen Kurs an der Benedict empfehlen.

ECAP Winterthur was founded in 1970 and the first training courses took place in the metalworking and mechanical engineering sector. Training for welders was particularly in demand because the large industrial companies in Winterthur such as Sulzer, Loki, Rieter and Geilinger in particular needed these specialists. In response to the employment crisis in the 1980s and the wave of immigration from all over Europe, Asia, Africa and South America, the range of courses on offer has been continuously adapted and expanded to meet new needs. Today, the demand for further training of migrants focuses primarily on the acquisition of the German language. Computer science courses for beginners are also popular. We are proud to continue to make a significant contribution to the integration work of the City of Winterthur with our range of courses.
