The Bellinzona Association for Home Care and Assistance (ABAD) is a private law entity pursuant to Articles 60 and following of the Swiss Civil Code. The Association is non-denominational, apolitical, and non-profit. MISSION In accordance with the Home Care and Assistance Act (LACD), ABAD is recognized by the Council of State and aims to promote and enable people of all ages living in the Bellinzona region to remain in their homes when facing: illness, accident, disability, maternity, old age, or socio-family difficulties, by providing the necessary individualized services. The service consists of a coordinated set of socio-assistance and healthcare services with preventive and rehabilitative characteristics. Care services for minors are provided by GIIPSI (Interregional Group of Pediatric Nurses of Italian-speaking Switzerland), which ABAD supports.
