Ceci n'est pas un scoop, ils font d'excellents fromages. Par contre nous avons organisé une petite visite au mois de mai avec des enfants lors d'un anniversaire et nous avons pu constater toute la passion qu'ils mettent dans leurs fromages. C'est un un endroit extraordinaire et Sophie a été extrêmement généreuse avec son temps et son énergie pour nous faire découvrir toute l'activité de la fromagerie et la fabrication de leurs produits qui sont de grande qualité.

Located in Fornet-Dessous, in the magnificent setting of the Jura mountains, the Fromagerie Amstutz is renowned for producing exceptional cheeses. Since 1956, this family know-how has been passed down from generation to generation, with an undiminished passion for the art of traditional cheese-making. We use only high-quality milk from local farms in the region, to guarantee the authentic taste and unique texture of each of our cheeses. Among our flagship products, Gruyère and Tête de Moine, made from raw milk, are now Swiss AOPs, synonymous with excellence and tradition. In addition to these must-tries, our range includes other regional specialities such as Fornet, Moron bio, Tête Dure and Montbautier, all rooted in the Grand Chasseral region.

In the well-developed cellars of Schönried Dairy, one of them a former military mine, store delicacies and cheese specialties from the Schönried Dairy, such as the Schönried Cave Raised.
