Hello, my name is Cristina Bassi. I was born in Zurich in 1976 under the sign of Pisces. People describe me as a "force of nature," but honestly, I just feel like an enthusiastic, spontaneous, and sunny person. Teaching has always been my passion: first as a school teacher, then as an ice skating instructor, and finally as a personal trainer in the postural field. I love sharing all my knowledge about movement and especially enjoy going into detail to improve the quality of movement. In addition to the years spent as an ice skater, where fluidity is important for a good performance, classical dance has provided me with the knowledge of body control and movement precision starting from the feet, a part often neglected. During my competitive years on ice, I worked with two Mental Coaches who taught me to focus on goals through meditations and exercises that promote concentration and breathing (AlphaTraining and later MentalTraining). The profession of a school teacher fascinated me greatly, but I cannot deny that I missed the aspect of movement, that aspect of sport that remains a true school of life. One day, I came across a brochure about the Pilates method: everything sounded so familiar that I enrolled in the pre-Pilates course called "Mat4me" (2003) at the CovaTech Pilates school of Anna Maria Cova in Milan. Enthusiastic about having found my path, I took part in the teacher training course during the summer of 2004 and graduated as a Pilates Teacher Covatech. In 2006, I became a mother and continued my journey by deepening the topic of "Core" (center of gravity) at the postural school StarEducation in Zurich. After obtaining the basic diploma as an Antara Teacher in 2011, I continued my training with other related courses, including Antara pre and post-natal (synergistic work of the deep muscles such as the transverse abdominals, multifidus, diaphragm, and pelvic floor). Over the years, I understood the importance of cardiovascular activity: cardio is an important part of physical and mental health. I wanted training that aligned with the postural foundations I had learned so far; so I took part in the CardioCoach course at the same postural school, completing my training in 2018. Today, I feel I can offer my students quality: having personally experienced the principles I teach today is very different from learning the notions from books or during training; personal experience becomes an integral part of you, and experiences allow you to transmit knowledge in the most natural and direct way possible, without filters. Outpatient Outpatient treatment is suitable for patients who are still able to cope with their everyday tasks despite a mental health crisis or illness. Partial inpatient treatment In addition to outpatient therapy, partial inpatient treatment offers patients suffering from a mental health crisis or illness additional support and structure. Permanent Residence, Family Atmosphere, and Individual Care Around half of the beds in our clinic (approximately 25 beds) are typically occupied by permanent residents. Due to our operational size, we can provide individual care to our residents and guests, offering them a cozy new home accordingly. Residents with severe care needs benefit from our well-developed medical infrastructure, which rarely fails to meet their needs and necessitates a hospital transfer. Our cafeteria, the cozy lounges, and the large terrace (depending on the season) invite you to stay and relax. The opportunity to engage in occupational therapy activities, supervised walks, and individual events ensure a varied stay at the EDEN rehabilitation care clinic. Vacation and Transitional Solutions Guests who register for a vacation at EDEN without needing care are welcomed as spa guests. We recommend having your general practitioner prescribe a spa stay, allowing for invoicing without value-added tax. Care-dependent guests who enter for a defined period (maximum of 56 days in a calendar year, multiple stays possible) to relieve caregivers are admitted as short-term residents (billed according to the BESA service module). Transitional Stay This refers to admitting a guest to our facility for an undefined period. Possible reasons include: • Entry into the preferred institution is not yet possible. • After completing a spa stay, the necessary independence to return home is not yet present. • Medically prescribed spa stay after an accident or illness. Medically Prescribed Spa Stay After an Accident or Illness After an acute hospital stay or severe illness at home, a spa recuperation stay can be prescribed by the attending physician. The spa stay is justifiable from a medical perspective (recovery under medical supervision, possibly with care or therapy). The spa is an alternative to outpatient medical care at home (possibly with home care services / therapy / doctor visits / meal service / household help / transportation service). A spa stay can sometimes be more cost-effective than a combination of outpatient services at home. If your doctor supports a spa/recovery stay, have them issue a spa prescription, which you then forward to your health insurance or insurance provider. We need a copy of this spa prescription at the latest on the day of arrival. Medical and therapeutic services are covered by at least 90% by the basic insurance. Special rules apply to nursing care costs. Spa guests with additional insurance receive between CHF 20 and CHF 120 per day towards hotel costs at EDEN, which is also recognized as a spa house by "santésuisse." Therapy Services Physiotherapy is provided by therapists from the REHA KLINIK EDEN in Oberried at our facility in Ringgenberg.
