AUX GUITARES Kappeler & Schultheiss

On November 1, 1974, guitarist René Kappeler and one of his fellow students opened the guitar shop "aux guitares" at Totentanz 13 in Basel. Although the premises were very charming, they were a little too small, so in 1977 the shop moved to the passageway of the newly built Theater Basel.

From 1990 onwards, René Kappeler ran the business together with Christoph Schultheiss, who had been working as a guitar teacher for "aux guitares" since 1983.

In 2005, David Kappeler took over from his father, continuing the family tradition.
