It is the beauty of shoots in spring, the joy of seeing buds
swell, the discovery of an insect or plant I don't yet know
yet.

It is alive, asks me questions, connects me to people through
the wine it produces.

I am just the conduit who tries to respect "the land that is not
not mine"

and "the wine, a fiery comet promised for next year."
