Implantology
Dental implants are artificial tooth roots that are inserted into the jawbone to replace lost teeth or to anchor prosthetic work. They are screwed into the jawbone via their thread and bond with the bone within 3-6 months. The implants are mainly made of titanium, although more and more ceramic implants have recently been introduced to the market. However, the success rates of approx. 97% and scientific studies are almost all based on titanium implants. A few important things must be considered before placing an implant.

Endodontology
This refers to tooth preservation through therapeutic treatment of the dental pulp (nerve). Endodontology plays an important role in modern tooth preservation. Whereas painful and infected teeth used to be removed, today many teeth can be saved with the help of modern treatment methods such as root canal treatment.
This means that these teeth can also serve as pillars for fixed dentures or as anchoring aids for removable dentures.
The aim of root canal treatment is to remove the inflamed nerve tissue, disinfect the canal cavity, and hermetically fill the canal lumen with gutta-percha points.
Causes of inflammation can include:
Bleaching
Cosmetic whitening of teeth using state-of-the-art technology under plasma light.
Dental care for young people
Dentist Yong-Hi Lie-Pflug has been working with schools and kindergartens since 2003.
She and her team teach children proper dental care and healthy eating habits.
Cosmetic dentistry
Health, including dental health, is our most valuable asset.
But we also attach great importance to our appearance. It boosts our self-confidence and well-being. The most important component of good looks and a natural charisma is our face. An attractive smile can be decisive for the overall impression we make on others.
Modern dentistry now offers many different options for optimizing the color, shape, and position of your teeth. Bleaching, ceramic crowns, inlays and fillings, professional teeth cleaning, and veneers are just some of these options.
Craniomandibular dysfunction (CMD)
Chronic pain seems to have become a typical feature of our modern civilization. Countless people suffer from persistent or frequently recurring headaches, back pain, unexplained toothache, or other painful conditions.
Hectic lifestyles, time pressure, and stress not only affect the stomach, but also often the teeth, chewing muscles, neck, and shoulder muscles. Accumulated tension is worked off with the help of the chewing muscles. The muscles tense up, teeth ache, and the jaw joints crack or hurt.

The Wand Plus
The Wand Plus was specially developed to prevent problems that occur when using conventional syringes. The handpiece (The Wand) is held like a probe (pencil grip). With the help of a microprocessor, the anesthetic is applied extremely gently (1 drop every 2 seconds), allowing for virtually imperceptible anesthesia.
Bleaching
Why do teeth become discolored?
Some teeth are naturally more pigmented or become discolored during tooth development.
Internal stains and discoloration can be caused by medication, high fluoride concentrations, or injuries.
The effects of coffee, tea, certain beverages, or tobacco products also lead to dark teeth over the years.
How does Opalescence or Zoom (bleaching) remove discoloration?
The patented whitening systems gently and permanently remove most discoloration through oxidation processes. Unlike crowns or veneers, Opalescence and Zoom whitening offer a non-invasive improvement in tooth color. Experience and research show that most patients achieve significant tooth whitening.
How does periodontitis develop?
"Periodontitis" or "loose teeth" is a widespread disease of the periodontium that affects over 10 percent of the world's population. Periodontitis is caused by bacteria that accumulate in the space where the tooth and gum meet. If these bacteria are not removed by regular and thorough tooth brushing, inflammation of the gums, also known as "gingivitis," occurs.
The inflamed area is red, swollen, and bleeds when touched. If the bacterial layer is not removed, it calcifies and forms what is known as "tartar." Tartar has a rough surface, providing ideal conditions for bacteria to grow. If the inflammation caused by bacterial infection remains untreated for a long time, the fibers that anchor the teeth in the bone are destroyed.
This results in bone loss (periodontitis), which can lead to the loss of one or more teeth.
How does Emdogain gel work?
The natural anchoring of the teeth consists of what is known as "dental cement," from which tiny fibers radiate out, anchoring the tooth in the jawbone. Emdogain gel restores the dental cement, fibers, and jawbone, giving you the opportunity to keep your own teeth. When Emdogain gel is applied, the protein that created the periodontal ligament is applied to the surface of the tooth root. This time, however, it serves to restore the natural tooth anchorage.
What is craniomandibular dysfunction?
CMD – Craniomandibular dysfunction – "malocclusion"
CMD refers to a disturbed interaction between the teeth of the upper and lower jaw and the resulting incorrect bite position. The result is an unphysiological position of the jaw joints and unnaturally high strain on the surrounding muscles.
Pain in the teeth, jaw joints, face, head, or neck area, as well as tension and pain in other parts of the musculoskeletal system, can often be attributed to CMD.
Even the smallest changes in the masticatory system can lead to significant joint dysfunction. This is understandable when you consider that every person exerts a chewing force of up to 400-800 N in the masticatory center through nighttime clenching and grinding lasting approximately 15-20 minutes.
