ECAP is a non-commercial and non-profit adult education institute in Switzerland. Headquartered in Zurich, there are nine regional branches throughout Switzerland. With its courses, the intercultural organisation enables the education of migrants and employees in general, including those with little formal education. With more than 50,000 participants per year, ECAP is the second largest adult education institute in Switzerland – and the number one school for German and integration courses. Our main activities are: • Courses for the achievement of professional qualification (Art. 33 of the BBG) for construction (bricklayers, plasterer, painter), for sales (detail trade specialist EFZ and retail trade assistant EBA), as well as for metalworkers and blind fitters • Refresher courses for architects, engineers, designers etc. with AutoCAD • Refresher courses in the hotel and catering industry («The ABCs of the hotel industry and catering») • Business management, in cooperation with the Vocational and Trade School (SPAI) in Trevano • Computer science courses (introduction and consolidation in Word, Excel, Access, Internet, PowerPoint) with the possibility of obtaining the «European Computer Driving Licence» (ECDL) • Professional language courses (German and English in sales or commercial areas) with the possibility of obtaining the respective telc certificates • Literacy courses in cooperation with the Association Leggere & Scrivere della Svizzera italiana • Founding of company • Atelier TRI, application techniques for unemployed persons • Italian language courses in various municipalities, with the possibility of obtaining CELI certificates • «Preparatory Examination Courses» for electrical and masonry apprentices, in cooperation with Unia. About us Hintermann & Ruffini Ltd is a new venture, but based on a long-standing, successful past. The young company was founded in 2018 by Stefan Hintermann. He will continue the success story of Giacomazzi & Ruffini Ltd thanks to many years of experience in the timber industry and various further education courses. Our Team We can count on many years of loyal staff. Our motivated, competent employees, who receive regular training, are one of the main reasons for our success. At the moment our team consists of 15 employees, who are led by Stefan Hintermann. In detail: 1 wood construction technician HF, 1 technician - draftsman, one administrative responsible person and 7 carpenters / roofers. Our story The success story started 30 years ago in the Maggiatal. Giacomazzi & Ruffini Ltd was founded in 1988 in Moghegno by Dario Ruffini and is still a successful venture in carpentry and roofing. In 2002 the company moved to Avegno. The wood construction business has grown steadily in the new, generously sized workshop with office and was able to count a large number of architects and private customers among its customers. Since September 1st, 2018, Stefan Hintermann is responsible for the newly founded timber construction company carpentry Hintermann & Ruffini Ltd . An apprenticeship as a carpenter, many years of experience in the timber industry, several years of further training as a timber construction technician and construction management expert are the best prerequisites to continue the success story of Dario Ruffini.
