WHAT IS THE BAC After many years of thinking about a way to bridge the gap between the arts and the public, the idea for the Braswell Arts Center was born. Since 2017, the BAC has provided a space for creativity, collaboration and innovation in all art forms. We pride ourselves on offering dance classes and other artistic experiences for all ages, levels and body types, as well as creating new initiatives for underprivileged children and development opportunities for aspiring artists. The BAC is available for dance performances, concerts, gallery exhibitions and special events. Through arts education and exchange, BAC seeks to encourage collaboration, creation, networking and entrepreneurship within the local and international arts community. BAC LESSONS FOR CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS BAC Kids and Teens is a multi-arts program for children and teens at the Braswell Arts Center. Our weekly classes provide the children with quality lessons focused on improving self-discipline while providing opportunities to develop the creative mind in a supportive environment. Led by Juilliard School graduate and Ballet Basel soloist Armando Braswell and his team of top artists, children will experience a unique artistic mentoring experience that motivates them to focus on their engagement and personal achievement through quality training . In partnership with sponsors and foundations, we are proud to support underprivileged children by offering financial aid to our BAC Kids program. PRE PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM PRE PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM The Braswell Arts Pre-Professional Program is a year-round training and mentoring program offered by the Braswell Arts Association for dancers ages 13-21 who demonstrate exceptional potential for a dance career. The Braswell Arts Center is a proud partner school of the Basel Talents competitive sports promotion. The BAC, together with the education department of Basel-Stadt and Baselland, offers the most talented dancers the opportunity to continue their dance training at a professional level and at the same time to complete their formal academic training as part of the sports class. HOLIDAY ARTS CAMP Join us for an exciting week (or two) of multi-arts programs at the Braswell Arts Center. We offer full or half day camps for children from 6 years old. Artistic mentoring in music, art and dance with highly qualified teachers to inspire the next generation of young artists. DANCE WORKSHOPS The BAC workshops take place during the school holidays in Basel-Stadt, where we bring some of the best teachers from around the world to Basel! While our regular weekly classes are only available to our members, we believe it's important to share these amazing guest teachers and their unique teaching styles with the wider community. This means all of our workshops, pop-up classes and teaching assignments are open to the public! If you are interested in attending our courses but cannot come to us regularly and commit to membership, the BAC workshops are for you! ONLINE CLASSES Here's your chance to take part in Basel's popular community online! Includes online dance and fitness classes for all levels and body types. Gerade habe ich den Blockchain Kurs an der Benedict beendet. Unser Lehrer, Herr Altinok, war so wie man sich einen Lehrer wünscht, motiviert und gut vorbereitet. Viel Arbeitsmaterial wurde vorgelegt und auch als ich fehlte, wurde mir ein Dossier zusammengestellt. Klar war es nicht einfach nach einem langen Arbeitstag noch die Schulbank zu drücken, im Nachhinein muss ich aber sagen, es hat richtig Spass gemacht. Die Klasse war super, zudem hat es mich neu vernetzt. Mein Fazit; ich kann jedem einen Kurs an der Benedict empfehlen.
