Practice concept

The practice is located in the heart of Basel, between Aeschenplatz and Bankenplatz. We see ourselves as a customer-oriented, motivated team providing high-quality, individual dental care for young and old. We offer the entire spectrum of treatments (except orthodontics).

One dentist and three dental hygienists have access to three modern treatment rooms equipped with X-ray, OPT, modern ultrasound devices, and magnification aids.

A comprehensive, strict hygiene concept and the proper use of high-quality materials give you peace of mind.

The entire team attends continuing education events, enabling them to combine modern treatment methods with many years of experience to your advantage. We also work with proven specialists who support us in achieving our ambitious goals.

Of course, we strive to make your appointments as stress-free as possible by avoiding waiting times and aiming for optimal pain control.

After a thorough examination, we provide each patient with an accurate diagnosis of their oral health and, if necessary, a treatment plan. We discuss this in detail, pointing out the advantages and disadvantages and discussing the alternatives. We take the time to respond to the individual needs of each patient and to plan and carry out a treatment that is optimally suited to their situation and requirements.

Our dental treatments are based on three central areas: prophylaxis, tooth preservation, and aesthetic-functional rehabilitation.

Prophylaxis, which is actually the most important area of dentistry, serves on the one hand to prevent new diseases in healthy teeth and on the other hand to help keep restored teeth healthy for as long as possible.

When treating diseased teeth, the focus is entirely on preservation. The treatment of caries ranges from amalgam-free composite fillings to ceramic or gold inlays and crowns. If a tooth is affected by deep caries or is already inflamed in the bone, it can often still be saved by root canal treatment. Similarly, teeth affected by severe periodontitis can usually still be stabilized and preserved using new and gentle treatment methods.

If a tooth really can't be saved or existing dentures need to be replaced, we aim for "new teeth" that look and function like natural teeth. This is done either with conventional dentures such as bridges or removable (partial) dentures, but especially by implanting artificial tooth roots made of titanium (implants).

Services

We work with state-of-the-art equipment and techniques, such as ultrasound, lasers, and magnifying glasses, but the focus remains on the individual.

Before starting treatment, we discuss various therapy options.
Both children and elderly patients are very welcome here.

• Prevention (prophylaxis)
  Healthy teeth and gums thanks to our dental hygienists and our prophylaxis assistant.
  Our treatments range from simple teeth cleaning to complex procedures for gum disease (periodontitis).
   
• Gum disease (periodontology)
  Conservative and surgical periodontal treatment with regenerative measures.
  We use modern laser equipment to support our treatment.
   
• Fillings (conservative dentistry)
  We use magnifying glasses to improve the quality of our fillings.
  This increases the precision of diagnosis and treatment. Color and shape corrections
   
• Root canal treatment (endodontics)
  If root canal treatment is indicated, this forms the basis for any further therapy. Thanks to the consistent use of magnifying glasses, a high level of treatment safety (pain-free, no complications) is guaranteed.
  The latest electronic instruments allow for a gentle approach even with complex root canals.
  We attach great importance to the use of biologically safe active ingredients. The laser, which is used in addition to conventional therapy, enables shorter treatment times with long-term stable results.
