Kidi Joy

The Kidi Joy daycare center offers 30 places for children aged 3 months to 4 years. We are open from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., offering parents flexible and reliable childcare.

Our group structure includes a baby group with 8 children and two mixed-age groups with 11 children each. This allows us to create a family atmosphere with individual support and age-appropriate development.

Educational mission

At Kita Kidi Joy, the focus is on the child. We offer a safe, loving, and development-promoting environment in which every child feels secure and can develop individually.

Our goal is to strengthen the children's independence and to carefully guide them in their development.

Educational approach

Our educational work is based on a clear daily structure that provides children with guidance and security. Free play is a central part of our daily routine, as it allows children to learn independently and discover their environment.

Exercise, creative activities, and daily outdoor time are integral parts of our concept. We also integrate elements from Montessori education and language development into our daily routine.

Bilingualism

The daycare center is bilingual (German–English). German is the main language used in everyday life. English songs, rhymes, and simple everyday phrases are playfully integrated into the daily routine and promote a natural feel for the language.

Settling in

Settling in is based on the Berlin model and usually takes 1 to 3 weeks. It is tailored to each individual child to ensure a smooth and safe start to everyday life at the daycare center.

Nutrition

We work with an external catering provider who delivers fresh meals every day. Breakfast and snacks are prepared on site, and the delivered meals are gently heated in our preparation kitchen.

Allergies and cultural and religious dietary habits are of course taken into account.

Rest and sleep

Each child has their own place to sleep. Sleep times are based on the individual needs of the child. Babies follow their own rhythm.

Hygiene and safety

Our daycare center operates according to a binding hygiene concept with clearly defined cleaning and disinfection plans.

A comprehensive safety and emergency concept is also in place. First aid-trained staff and appropriate fire safety measures ensure the children's safety at all times.

The staff-to-child ratio complies with the requirements of the Canton of Zurich.

A trusting and transparent cooperation with parents is particularly important to us. We cultivate this through:

Observation and documentation

The children's development is regularly observed and documented. This allows us to identify individual progress and provide targeted support.
