On the banks of the Cassarate River stood the Osteria del Porto, which over the years has earned the title of "Antica" (Ancient). Its centuries-old history dates back to the nineteenth century when it was a landing point for goods from barges. An Osteria, yes, but different: in tones, colors, and signs. A menu proposal between innovation and tradition, with the lake and mountains blending and meeting in the menus of Chef Domenico Rezza. We accompany the dishes with a selection of local and Italian wines, served with care by our dining staff. And then the special occasions, the happy hours, the exclusive terrace for private events. A venue constantly on the move, searching for new proposals, accompanied by smiles and authentic hospitality.

We will do everything to make you feel like at home. Since 1842 the Grotto Morchino is owned by the family Olgiati. Pierluigi Olgiati still keeps alive the tradition of genuine and popular people from Ticino and in particular of Lugano.

Il Ristorante Orologio a Lugano è una vera perla per chi cerca un’esperienza culinaria di alto livello in un ambiente elegante e raffinato. Fin dal primo momento si percepisce la classe del locale, con un’atmosfera curata, sobria e accogliente, perfetta per una serata speciale. La cucina è eccellente: ogni piatto è preparato con grande attenzione ai dettagli, ingredienti freschi e abbinamenti ben studiati. Si mangia davvero molto, molto bene — dai primi piatti ricchi di gusto ai secondi raffinati, tutto è all’altezza delle aspettative. Anche la presentazione è impeccabile. Pizza con Bresaula e rucola 20.-o 21.-Fr.e tanto Bresaula non cenerà poi tanta .Dopo dicono che i prezzi in Ticino sono alti???

Not only fish but also meat to enjoy excellent dishes cooked with great passion. What they say about us... My favourite fish restaurant here in lugano. The fish is always fresh and is cooked mostly on the grill. It is always very busy and this guarantees a constant supply of fish. The staff is very friendly and professional. The prices are within the Swiss average.

Il ravioli: La pasta troppo bianca per essere una pasta all'uovo come converrebbe per i ravioli. Troppo liscia e insapore. Il ripieno che doveva essere ai funghi porcini, non ne aveva né il sapore né il profumo. Molto deludenti. Migliori le orecchiette alle cime di rapa, che hanno fatto alzare il mio giudizio a sufficiente.

Summer specialties: grill, mushrooms – Winter specialties: wildmeat, saddle of roe deer. Large car park, panoramic terrace, banquet room for events and a playground area for younger customers. Reservation appreciated. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
