Wanner Distillery was born from the takeover of Absintissimo by Romain, the youngest son of René Wanner. Romain continues the pursuit of quality initiated by his father, who was awarded more than 180 medals for his products during his fifteen years of activity. While absinthe remains the flagship product of the distillery, its gins are also well worth a try. All the spirits sold by the distillery are produced and distilled on-site in Couvet, and made from natural and as much as possible, local ingredients. A Wine Cellar This is, of course, the heart of the Caves du Château. It houses over a hundred wine selections from Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and beyond. It is here that Léo Macquat seeks to share his values, his love for the land, and the stories of the dedicated winemakers whose work you hold in your hands. Many small estates practicing biodynamic farming or producing sulfite-free wines, sometimes little known, are represented here. But that’s not all: the wine merchant sets no limits. Visitors go from one delightful surprise to another. A selection of digestifs from near and far also finds its place here. Most importantly, Léo Macquat is committed to ensuring that every visitor can find something to fill their glass, no matter their budget. A Tasting Area A warm and inviting space dedicated to wine tasting welcomes epicureans in search of a unique experience. Léo Macquat also aims to delight food lovers. Drawing on his many years in the kitchens of top chefs, he offers guests delicate amuse-bouches. The Grand Cru Cellar Secrecy, discretion, prestige… The finest and rarest wines in Léo Macquat’s collection have a separate cellar of their own—worth a visit, if only for the pleasure of the eyes. At the Cave des Vins Fins in Chénens, you'll discover a sharp and original selection of local and international wines, most of them from independent winemakers. Launched more than forty years ago by Yvan Chappuis, a former manager of the Landi cooperative, the Cave des Vins Fins in Chénens is the result of his passion for wine. A wine cellar was built on the site of the cooperative, where no fewer than 50,000 bottles are stored.
